It's a place to rest your legs and feet. In light of the fact that it is constructed using a lightweight design, I wouldn't recommend sitting or standing on it.

I have a Racing Model chair from 2020. The Drifting lift cylinder was the replacement part I was told I needed. It works great, and following a few steps, it was easy to install. However, I do want to point out that it is a good bit taller than the original part, they do not swap out exactly.
