It's soft, the armrests are height adjustable which I can't confirm myself as I haven't tried it, but I'd like to point it out anyway) and the material always goes back to its original position. The cushion provides very good support when sitting and helps you sit up straight, which is comfortable for your back. The neck pillow is also very comfortable. The seat cushion itself is made of leather and looks very elegant.
